IT IS WRITTEN

“And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself… Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.” — Luke 24:27, 44 (NIV)

Throughout His ministry, Jesus often quoted the Old Testament when teaching about the Kingdom of God. He used the Scriptures to help the people of Israel understand the true mission of the Messiah. God Himself instructed the prophets and inspired the apostles to write the Scriptures, giving us the Old and New Testaments.

From the earliest days, writing has been one of the most reliable ways to preserve truth for future generations. Even the message of our salvation through Jesus Christ was recorded carefully so that our faith would rest on God’s revealed Word, not on human opinion. When something is written and preserved-whether on scrolls, paper, or modern technology; it becomes a testimony that can be examined and trusted.

The Apostle Peter reminds us of this when he writes:

“Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of the Messiah and the glories that would follow.” — 1 Peter 1:10–11 (NIV)

As we enter this Easter weekend (Passover), I invite you to pause and spend time in the Scriptures, the written Word of God. Ask yourself: How is God calling me to respond to the grace revealed through the cross of Jesus Christ? What does His death and resurrection mean for my life today? How should I walk forward in light of this great salvation?

As you reflect, consider reading Isaiah 53, Psalm 22, or any other passages the Holy Spirit brings to mind.

Grace and peace to you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
